I am official

Yeah! I am officially a Mary Kay beauty consultant. I listened to my very long new consultant orientation CD and did my new consultant orientation with my sales director. I also received my starter kit today. I am really excited about this and I really hope I can make some money. The starter kit came with a ton of great stuff and I can always use the stuff if I end up not wanting to go through with this. I already have booked a party and can't wait to do it. Also I am taking orders so if you would like to order anything I can make it happen! Thank you everyone that has encouraged me and that is helping me out by letting me facial you. So start thinging PINK!

Just when everything was good....

So this weekend went pretty good until Sunday. On Friday we went out to dinner with Mike and Kristy. Chris ordered meat balls and when he was eating them he bit into a piece of bone and hurt his tooth. I can't for the life of me get that man to go to the dentist. So after dinner we went to Peppermill and Chris put in $20 in a $1 machine and on his second dollar won $800. It was great to have some extra money plus we had a really great night!

Saturday I had a Mary Kay party and almost everyone I invited came which was really nice. Jana, Beth, Stephany, my mom, and my mother in law and had a lot of fun. Who doesn't like free facials? I had a super great time because I was so tiered that I was making a fool of my self but hey at least I was making everyone else laugh! I ended up starting my very own Mary Kay. I hope I do good! Wish me luck. Then later on that night Jana and I had a little girls night out. We went to Brew Brothers and had very small salads. Then we went to this cute little bar called the Red Martini. It is weird how many freaks we ran into. There are a lot of weird people here in Reno! It was fun and I always love hanging out with Jana.

Then on Sunday I was checking my online banking and noticed that there were charges I didn't make. At first I was thinking oh no I lost my card when I went out last. I looked in my wallet and everything was still there. So I made a few calls and found out that someone has stolen my identity. Nice right! So all day I was on the phone with the credit card company and the bank and paypal. Thank goodness they could reverse all the charges! It has still been a hassle because I have to get new cards and a new account and now I am stuck with 4 boxes of unusable checks! I really hope they catch this guy. I say guy because Paypal told me that his name is Kyle O'Connor. He was trying to start a business using my money. I hope he does jail time for messing with peoples lives because I am sure am not the only person he is doing this to! So after I got everything figured out I needed to get out of the house so we went to the movies. We watched Hancock. It was really good. I loved it!
Well that was my weekend! Hope yours was better than mine!

Another Day!!

Today I had another dentist appointment it went really good. The dentist fixed two teeth in a hour so it wasn't bad. I go back August 14Th for a cleaning and to fix two more teeth. I really need to look into getting insurance because I have already spent around $800. Anyways Saturday I am throwing a Mary Kay party. It is going to be fun I hope everything goes as planed. I am making banana bread, five layer bean dip, and little winners. Also I have been looking for a purple alcoholic beverage for the wedding. I have come up with Lavender Cosmopolitan, The Superhero, Purple Hooter, Purple Haze, Palm Purple Martini, Stardust, and Blueberry Passion Mojito. For the brown drinks I was thinking mudslides or chocolate martinis. The girls and I are going to have to do some experimenting. Sounds really fun.

It Is Finally Done!!

So I have been reading Nineteen Minutes By Jodi Picoult for a book club I am in. Here is what the book is about:

Sterling is an ordinary New Hampshire town where nothing ever happens until the day its complacency is shattered by an act of violence. Josie Cormier, the daughter of the Jugde sitting on the case, should be the state's best witness, but she can't remember what happened before her very own eyes or can she? As the trail progresses, fault lines between the high school and the adult community being to show destroying the closest of friendships and families. Nineteen Minutes asks what is means to be different in our society, who has the right to judge someone else, and whether anyone is ever rally who they seem to be.

I got the book on July 7th and finished it yesterday. It was very long (455 pages). I really liked the book and it was easy for me to stay in to but I have it is the longest book I have ever read. We had our book club meeting last night and that was really fun. I t is nice to be able to talk to people that have different opinoins about the book. Everyone had their own opinion about the book and mine was that Peter deserved to be in jail no questions. Jordan was a very wise atterny for coming with the batter womens sendrom and turning into something that worked for a kid getting bullied. It was sad that everyone came at Lacy because of what her son had done. It was a suprising ending also. I recommend reading it!http://www.jodipicoult.com/nineteen-minutes.html

Another July Weekend

My Quote of the Week!

This was another great weekend in July. On Friday Chris and I dropped Landen off with my brother and went to dinner and a movie. We ended up seeing The Dark Night. It was really creepy and is for sure what made Heath Ledger have so many sleeping problems. In my opinion it is what messed up his head. The movie over all was very good. I pick it 5 stars.

Then on Saturday I woke up bright and early and went yard selling with Jana. We got some good stuff. I ended up with a mini golfing shot glass game, a dish set, a 4Th of July decor thing, a skirt, and something else I just don't remember. It was really fun and I spent under $20 so it was a great morning. Later on we went and got all the guys clothes for the wedding. I am so happy we are almost done getting everything!

Then, today we went to breakfast and to the new Whole Foods Market. They have a lot of really neat stuff. We got some really good dark chocolate, some beer for Chris, Italian soda, and I got sushi so I am going to try that in a little bit. Well I hope every one had a great weekend!

Children's MAGIC Foundation

Growth hormone deficiency and all growth disorders are a reflection of children's overall health. Is your child growing normally? If your child does not have a diagnosed growth hormone deficiency or a specific syndrome, start researching here.

MAGIC is made up of more than 25,000 families who have been there. We fought to find answers for our own children's lack of growth. And because our children were "affected" with growth hormone deficiency and a variety of other growth disorders, we are passionate about getting information "out there" for other parents.

Major Aspects of Growth In Children (MAGIC) is made up of families whose children (and affected adults) have growth hormone deficiency or other medical conditions (listed on the left) which affect their growth. While growth hormone deficiency is the most commonly known disorder it is not the most common cause of growth failure.

Children fail to grow for a variety of reasons. Growth hormone deficiency is only one possible cause. Hormones such as thyroid, or insulin-like growth factor also play important roles in a child's growth. Sleep, nutrition and exercise are also important for normal growth.

If a child is growth hormone deficient or failing to grow due to an underlying medical problem, his or her visible growth failure means that other more serious (non-visible) things are going on inside the body. Those "invisible" factors are our focus and concern. Height (too much at a young age or too little) is simply something we can see to warn us that something may be going wrong. It is natures early warning signal- an alarm for parents to take their child to the physician.

Many conditions which interfere with children's growth are treatable. Insulin, growth hormone, thyroid hormone, and now insulin-like growth factor are medications which are as close to nature as possible. Children with a wide range of growth deficiencies (such as Turner Syndrome, Russell-Silver Syndrome, Intrauterine Growth Retardation - Small for Gestational Age births have had wonderful results thanks to growth hormone and other treatments.

Each week we hear from parents about the short people in their family, and this is absolutley a factor to consider. However, scientists have now discovered a few genes which are responsible for growth failure. Therefore, as parents of affected kids ourselves (and yes some of us are short adults)we always tell worried parents- the primary indicator as to if your child needs to be seen by a medical professional is how much he or she is growing each year!

Researching information about a potential or newly diagnosed medical problem such as growth hormone deficiency, insulin-like growth factor deficiency, Turner Syndrome, panhypopituitarism, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia etc. is always scarey. It is compounded when we are searching for information about our own children.

Goals of the foundation include: * help you learn about children's growth * provide support to those searching for answers about their undiagnosed child * provide information regarding IGF-1, Growth Hormone Deficiency, Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, Thyroid and all other growth related disorders. Call us today! Ph: (708) 383-0808.

Sweet Little Cookie

Do you think Mrs. Fields has good cookies? Well you haven't had my cousins cookies! They are so yummy! She is a proud mother of 2 and is trying to make money by selling her talent of baking cookies. She loves to bake and is very happy she can do it from home. She likes being able to be home with the kids and teaching her daughter her ABC's and number is one of the most things she loves. She is only able to do this because of the people that make an order and keep coming back. So pass the word!

The Candy Cookie. These florentine cookies have a sweet candy taste to them. They are absolutely delicious and definitely my favorite. The oatmeal-based outer layers sandwich a thin center of dark semi-sweet chocolate. You won't be able to have just one, I promise.

Perfectly Sweet Chocolate Chip. The name says it all....very sweet, very perfect. These cookies are anything but little. They each measure about 3 1/2 inches in diameter and I promise every bite will have a chip in it.

White Chocolate Chunk Macs. The super sweet taste of white chocolate along with the buttery, dry roasted flavor of macadamia is a combination that's almost sinful. Because of the high cost of macadamia nuts, these cookies are priced a bit higher than the others, but they are worth every penny. They're perfect for a luau or any summer event. A must try!

Olivia Hearts. These heart shaped oatmeal cookies are named after someone I hold very close to my heart, hence the name. 50% of all proceeds from sale of these cookies will be donated to the Children's Magic Foundation. These cookies can be ordered with chocolate chips or with raisins.

Powdered Angels. These heavenly little butter cookies will definitely melt in your mouth. They are made with real butter, ground pecans, miniature chocolate chips and are topped with plenty of powdered sugar.

Peanut Butter Cup Delights. A chocolate cookie with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in the center. Can't get any sweeter than that. They're rolled in dry roasted peanuts and then MORE peanut butter drizzled on top. Yummy!

So go make an order already!!! www.sweetlittlecookie.com

Dental Work....

I have begun the long and costly process of getting my teeth looking good. Yesterday I went in and had 3 cavidies. One had to be fixed ASAP. I ended up getting it filled and it really hurt. I am really glad I told my dentist because he said another 6 monthes and I would not have had a tooth left. I am super happy that I have found a dentist I like and can trust. I don't have very good luck with dentist but once has a goal to make me have a perfect smaile before the wedding. He said he wants me to feel as beautiful as I look when I am getting married (isn't that sweet). Next week I go in again to get a fill replaced and who know what else. At least my mouth is already feeling better! I hate that my teeth are so bad when I brush and floss them all the time. I think it might be all the coffe I drink!

This is what I want by the time it is all said and done!

Fantastic Weekend

This weekend was a lot of fun! Saturday my aunt and I went to Olive Garden my favorite place to eat. Then we went back to her place so I could help her organize her room. She has way my much stuff so we ended up donating a lot. Then Jana and I went and got pedicures. It felt really good and we so needed it after camping the weekend before. My advise is to never get a man pedicurist he sucked I had to tell him what to do because he wasn't doing it right! My toes look great though! After that we had a BBQ and played Rock Band. I tried to take pictures but something is up with my camera. It was a really great time. I can't wait to do it again!

On Sunday Chris and I dropped Landen off at Grandma's house and went up to Donner Lake with the jet ski. I was so much fun we swam and played! The water was great but the air was a bit smokey. It is nice to have some mommy daddy time alone once in a while. On the way home we hit traffic and it took us almost 2 hours to get home when it normally only takes 30-45 minutes to get home. After all was said and done this was a pretty fun weekend!

Bye Bye Bye!! Part 2

Jessie Playing the drums!
Landen and Jesse saying Bye!

Bye Bye Bye!!

So our nephew Jesse left yesterday. So sad Landen has been walking around saying his name. We had a good time when he was here we went shopping (After he worked his little butt off). He showed me how to do the guitar on rock band I know I'm a dork for not knowing but hey at least someone was able to teach me. On his last day here we took him bowling. He had never been so we had to do it since I love to bowl! He scored a 42 which is good for never bowling sometimes I don't even score that high LOL. After we bowled we played a little pool and of course he won both games. I think it is because they have a pool table at home. I came close to winning the second game but I scrachted on the 8 ball. I hope he comes back soon we had a great time!

The Wedding

Our wedding is only 93 days away! Thanks to Jana the planning and keeping me on track has been going good. I still have a lot to do but the invites are done and should be in the mail by the end of the week. We did a great job on them again thanks to Jana for the help. I finally found Landen the perfect outfit for the wedding. He is going to look so cute. We still need to pick up all the guys clothing and Beth needs to get her dress. I have a plan for flowers, food, drinks, and everything else. Weddings are so stressful! If you have any advise I could probably use it!LOL

Huge Hot Tub

I am really super excited we are getting a huge hot tub and better yet for FREE. It is a cal spa and is 10x8 feet. I have no clue how Chris and all his friends plan on getting it here but once it is here and running we are having a PARTY. It is a really nice hot tub and can fit a ton of people so I can not wait to get it!

Poor Old People

Everyone who has a elderly person in your life watch out for them. My grandpa got a letter in the mail from some Canadian Lotty saying he won $475,000.00. Inclosed was a check for $4,750. It said that he had to send $3,700 of it to the Canadain Tax Department so they would release his winnings. He brought it over soo I could look at it and it seemed a little fishy so I looked on line and there are tons of reports of other people this happend to. Thank goodness my grandpa hadn't cashed it yet because after they get the $3700 they bounce the check.

Play my Games!
